Evaluating a Community-Based Fisheries Project
A national environmental organization partnered with an international donor to promote sustainable fishing and strengthen local livelihoods.
As the evaluation consultant, we conducted a mid-term review assessing progress, challenges, and impact across key areas. From livelihood diversification and marine management to market traceability.
Through document analysis and stakeholder interviews, we identified bottlenecks, provided actionable recommendations, and helped improve coordination and reporting systems. The evaluation’s insights guided strategic adjustments and informed future community-based conservation projects.

Results:
The evaluation offered valuable insights into what was working and where adjustments were needed. Developing a National Living Wage Policy Position
A coalition of national trade union federations sought expert support to develop a unified policy position on a living wage. The initiative aimed to address income inequality, strengthen collective bargaining, and promote fair compensation practices in line with international labour standards.
Project Objective:
The consultancy was designed to help unions create a data-driven, evidence-based position paper for presentation to a national tripartite council. This involved:
● Assessing the effectiveness of the current minimum wage system.
● Exploring the link between productivity, pay, and decent work.
● Identifying international best practices for setting and maintaining living wages.
● Providing practical recommendations for phased implementation.
